Bleak Houses by Timothy Brittain-Catlin (a senior lecturer at the new Kent School of Architecture, University of Kent), published by M.I.T. Press;  The book looks at the untold stories of architecture, the losers and the failures, that are more often than not ignored by the profession or critics who value “novelty, fame, and virility over fallibility and rejection”. Keith backs Brittain-Catlin’s words of critique with a series of his own illustrative architectural photos.

The book looks at the untold stories of architecture, the losers and the failures, that are more often than not ignored by the profession or critics who value “novelty, fame, and virility over fallibility and rejection”.

“… there are few books I can think of that describe the emotional engagement with architecture with such acuity. And despite the subject, Bleak Houses is anything but a bleak read.”

—Richard Williams, Times Higher Education

His second piece is an article penned for the April edition of local magazine VAMP. The piece reviews the conversion of a residence in Vedbaek, called Vedbaek House III, designed by NORM Architects in Copenhagen.
