ARNITA DZELME is a Junior Professional at AP. She obtained an MSc. in Engineering in Architecture and Design from Aalborg University in Denmark which was preceded by a BSc. in Architectural Technology and Construction Management from VIA University College. She has collaborated in various projects in Latvia, and was a co-ordinator in several EU-funded exchange and cultural projects relating to construction and architecture. At AP she is part of the interior design team, working on numerous residential and commercial projects.

CHARLENE JO ZAMMIT is a junior architect at AP. She studied at the University of Malta where she obtained a Master’s Degree of Science in Conservation Technology for Masonry Buildings.

CHARLOTTE ERMENAULT is an architect at AP. She graduated in 2011 with a Master of Architecture at the Ecole Nationale d’Architecture Paris-Val-de-Seine (Paris, France). Since then she worked for a while in France and New Zealand but the majority of her work experience was gained in the UK, where she worked on a variety of projects and tasks. She is experienced in design, design development, detailing and product specification, tender documentation and adjudication, project planning and resource management.

DAVID FELICE is one of the founding partners of Architecture Project. He has delivered papers in various conferences and has lectured in several positions. David was an Executive Board member of the Architects Council of Europe and President of the Chamber of Architects and Civil Engineers in Malta. He was the Chairman of the Valletta 2018 Foundation, which delivered Valletta’s successful bid for the title for European Capital of Culture 2018. David is also a Board member of Heritage Malta, a member of the Creative Economy Consultative Body and was appointed to the Malta Arbitration Centre’s Panel of Arbitrators.
DAVID DRAGO is a founding partner of Architecture Project. He studied Architecture at the University of Malta and at the Louisiana State University, USA. David has been responsible for some of the largest and most complex projects entrusted to the office, including the Valletta Waterfront Development, the Malta Maritime Centre, the Fort Chambray development and the Dock1 landscaping project.
EDWARD CUSCHIERI graduated at the Kent institute of Art & Design. Before joining AP, Edward worked with design studios in London and Milan. He has a vast amount of experience in both architecture and interior design and is currently working on the extension and renovation of the 1947 Phoenicia Hotel in Floriana / Valletta, amongst many other projects. He regularly leads design workshops and has carried out original research and co-edited a book on the island’s National Theatre; an 18th century baroque city theatre of the Knights.

EPHRAIM JORIS is a partner of AP London, aligned with the AP practice he lectured at multiple universities such as RMIT Melbourne, Syracuse University London, Westminster University London and currently at Brighton University. He has published a number of articles and presented papers as part of his PhD research at RMIT on the ‘Practice of Practice’. His work focuses on the construction of social space in architecture through different representations of space as modes of production.
ERICA GIUSTA read for a M.Sc. in Architecture at Politecnico di Torino (Italy) with a final project at the Technische Universitaet in Berlin (Germany). Following, she obtained a Post-Graduate Master in Communication and Digital Media at Il Sole 24 Ore Business School in Milan (Italy). Before joining AP in 2015, she worked as Media Relations and Digital PR Junior Account at Publicis Consultants Italy, Milan (Groupe Publicis), taking care of the press office, corporate communications and digital PR for international companies. At the firm, she takes care of special projects related to research, marketing and communications. Her current work focuses on the ways new media influences processes of Architectural production. Among her latest publications, the academic paper ‘Hysterical symptoms of the communication of Post-Truth Architecture’ was presented at the COCA Conference organised by ETSAM in Madrid (2017). Also, she is a member of Zeroundicipiu (Cultural Association for Contemporary Architecture) and she writes for Il Giornale dell’Architettura and A10.
FRANCESCO GERBAUDI is a senior interior architect at AP. After graduating at IUAV (Venice, Italy) and collaborating with well-known firms like Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, Francesco cofounded the architectural practice QuotaZero Architecture, dealing with residential, retail and hospitality projects, managing them from concept phases to completion including interior design. Since 2016 he also lectures at I.E.D. (European Institute of Design) in Venice, addressing issues related to technology of materials, construction techniques and sustainability.

GUILLAUME DREYFUSS joined AP in 2001 and is our expert in the identification, assessment and presentation of values associated with heritage assets, as well as in the preparation of restoration, maintenance, and management strategies. Guillaume obtained a Master’s degree in Built Environment, Sustainable Heritage from University College London. He is also co-editor of our publications The Founding Myths of Architecture and A Printed Thing. Before joining AP, Guillaume gained experience in France in museum curatorship and exhibition management.

JACQUES BORG BARTHET is our Practice Manager. He started his career at AP’s affiliated company aoM Partnership, where he was a key member in the realisation of an ambitious property regeneration project. Since 2010 he took up the role of Practice Manager at AP to direct project quality assurance and to manage project deliverables. He obtained a MA Urban Design at Oxford where he was awarded the Roger Evans Prize for Best Graphic Communication. He is a lecturer at the University of Malta and co-wrote and The Urban Challenge; Our Quality of Life and the Built Environment.

JOE GALEA is an architect at AP. Graduated from the University of Malta with a B.E. & A (hons) and furthered his studies with a Masters in Advanced Architecture from the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IaaC) in Barcelona. His masters focused on sustainability and self-sufficient design with the help of high-tech tooling and fabrication.
His interests lie in advanced geometry, parametric-algorithmic design tooling, multi-scale digital fabrication and large to small scale strategic design for self-sufficient buildings.

KANE BORG is a junior architect and structural engineer at AP. He works on the parametric aspects within AP’s projects. Graduated from the University of Malta with a Bachelor of Engineering and Architecture (Hons). Within AP he aids colleagues with technical, computational and software. KONRAD BUHAGIAR is a founding partner of Architecture Project and has been responsible for numerous restoration and rehabilitation works in historic buildings and urban sites. He has lectured in Malta and several countries abroad, published numerous historical articles and has been the Chairman of both the Heritage Advisory Committee and the Valletta Rehabilitation Committee. Konrad is also the chief editor behind our A Printed Thing and Founding Myths of Architecture publications.

LUELLA GALEA is an architect at AP. She finished her degree of Bachelor in Engineering and Architecture (Hons.) from the University of Malta in 2007 and gained experience in various areas including design development, concept sketching, preparation of drawings and documentation for MEPA, preparation of construction drawings, contract documentation, basic structural calculations, site inspections during construction as well as 3D modelling and rendering.

RIET EECKHOUT is a partner of AP London. She worked as Design Director for Dr. Ken Yeang at T.R.Hamzah & Yeang on the design and conceptualisation of bioclimatic skyscrapers . Riet is concluding a PhD within the invitational program at the University of Melbourne (RMIT) Australia, led by Leon van Schaik, investigating a practice of drawing. She is a guest speaker and teacher at a number of international universities and conferences where she talks on her research in relation to practice.

RORY APAP BROWN is leading AP’s dedicated interior design team in Malta. He finished Interior Architecture in Edinburgh with a University Medal for merit, and won the D&AD award for the creative redesign of a check-in area for Virgin Atlantic. Rory previously worked at Landor & Associates in London focusing on branded interiors. At AP he runs many key projects like the winning competition entry for the interior design of the Phoenicia Hotel. Rory is also a founding member of the Malta Interior Design Association (MIDA).
ROSANNE ASCIAK is a senior architect at AP. Graduated from the University of Malta in 2005 with a B.E. & A (Hons). Since joining AP in 2008 she has worked on a number of residential and commercial projects also forming part of AP’s property valuations team. Her work with AP also includes a number of master planning projects, including the master plan and concept design for the Corporate Village which she presented at the World Architecture Festival held in Barcelona (2009). Rosanne formed part of the team that designed and completed the award winning, public project the Barrakka Lift in Valletta. She is currently leading a variety of projects at AP.

SIMONE VELLA LENICKER is a Design Director and has been responsible for various aspects of our services, including valuations of property, preparation of cost estimates, practice management, compilation of tender submissions for services, and planning application procedures. Simone currently holds the post of Vice President of the Kamra tal-Periti (Chamber of Architects and Civil Engineers) and has been the Editor of its quarterly journal “the Architect” for many years. She is also a registered Energy Performance of Buildings Assessor, as well as a Member of the Building Regulation Board, the Users’ Committee of the Planning Authority and the Building Industry Consultative Council Advisory Board.

TOM VAN MALDEREN is the Chief Executive at our Malta Office. After obtaining a Master in Architecture he started his career working for Lucien Kroll in France, Belgium and Holland. In 2001 he Joined AP and following a first spell in Malta, Tom co-founded AP’s office in London and lectured at the Canterbury University College of Creative Arts. In 2008 he returned to Malta to become Chief Executive and has since overseen a broad range of management projects. He writes for A10 magazine and sits on the board of several cultural foundations.
VANESSA PISANI is an architect at AP. She graduated from the University of Malta with a Bachelor of Engineering and Architecture (Hons) having followed the Architecture Design Stream and has since worked on a wide range of diverse projects gaining experience in various aspects of the profession. She holds a particular interest in, and passion for, restoration, conservation and history of architecture as well as for residential projects and interior design and particularly enjoys working on projects within historical contexts. At AP she is currently working on a number of residential projects which she is handles from preliminary design stage through to the construction and finishes stages.
